Now I never hear back from my AD...a bit rude I think considering how many watches, straps and OEM bracelets I've purchased from them over the years.

I know there's nothing they can do about the inventory shortage, but a reply would be nice.

Oh well, perhaps it's time to foster a new AD relationship.
Effectively in their view, you are just asking them for free money. So that’s why they are ignoring you

You have to go in there and spend huge coin, at MSRP, on things they want to move; and only then, if available, they may allow you to have free money by giving you a $25,000 watch for $10,000

Spending millions per year and on wait lists?

Why would you be on a wait list for any watch ever? Just pay the grey and be done.

Sadly not true.
Living witness here.
Those who have dropped double to triple what I have get first dibs.

Given the current state, I have absolutely ZERO expectations from my AD. I go in, browse, chat, BS, buy some small things here and there and that's that. They know what I am in to but again, I have zero expectations that they would call me first for anything. I would in no way take it personal if they got something in and called their "best" clients first.

If anything, the current state has me looking more at vintage pieces and other brands.

Think how many emails your SA gets. It’s just a plain hassle for someone who’s supposed to be on the floor selling. Try stopping in regularly. This can be a frustrating game.
