All of the “attention” you talk about is exactly what I don’t want...

Thankfully there is white gold

Rolex yellow gold is superb! Looks silky! Nothing like a YG piece! Rock the hell out of it, but watch for scratches lol!

I can see gold for Lange, PP, JlC dress pieces. Absolutely see no purpose on a diver. For folks like myself that actually wear these watches doing anything and everything, believe me the weight gets old quick.

Indeed. How people on here think a gold Sub isn't noticeable is beyond me.

Yes its only been highly desired for thousands of years by every major civilization, worn by kings and rulers of empires alike, self proclaimed living Gods on earth and worshiped as such by their loyal followers... buried with it when they died to take into the afterlife....

Lots of things these days come and go on the whims of fashion but gold will always be gold and timeless...

Yet some guy who works in IT on an internet forum doesn't like it as its "too flashy"... so yes I agree with the nay-sayers, yellow Gold is not for the likes of you

It's a beautiful watch and surely it gives great pleasure to wear it. I totally understand the fun of sharing the feeling with the people you care about.
A full gold Rolex is not something most people will ever have the opportunity to try on the wrist. Good of you

It makes me chuckle when people say they’ve never been approached or complemented when they’re wearing a PM piece. That says almost nothing about the watch and volumes about who’s wearing it.

Y’all need to smile more

People go diving for gold treasures. Just imagine if you could send Rolex some gold doubloons and they make a watch case out of it for you. Go diving with a steel Sub, collect treasure, send to Rolex, Gold Sub.

If I had that watch it's the story I'd tell people, before the truth.

I wear mine about once a week, usually during the weekend. I don’t like to attract attention to myself but I absolutely love this watch. So far, I haven’t received any comments, which I’m 100% ok with. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t take my watch off for someone to hold, though. Not unless they were a fellow WIS and someone I could trust.

This is one of my favorite watches! I picked mine up about a year ago. What’s is crazy is my SS PP 5726/1a is now worth over three times more.

An amazing watch.
A Bluesy, my favorite, on steroids. But in a great way.

Doesnt get any better than yellow gold........... Beautiful watch for sure. You will stop letting people hold it the first time it hits a ceramic floor. I only take mine off for very very close friends or relatives, sitting down, over carpet , no other jewelry on etc. All from lessons learned..........

Great watch but a bit large for me. Early on I got an 1803 and the attention it received actually made me nervous when I wore it. When I sold my collection and got the Platona, I unexpectedly missed having the gold watch. I had loved my 116600 SD4K but it no longer held the attraction it did when I first got it. I traded it for a much more modern double quickset 18238 which I wear proudly. It's a great gold piece and perfect for my smaller wrist.

I’m happy to see so many YG fans are around. Personally, I love it and everyone around me knows...
