Yes... and no. The study's underlying purpose is to deduce as much about Authorized Dealer preferences as possible regarding the "tough to get" models. While most two-tone models are readily available, I've noticed that the two-tone GMTs, Sky-Dwellers, and (especially) the Sea-Dwellers are particularly difficult to acquire, and their market premiums seem to confirm that.

I may have erred on including the tt-subs and tt-Daytona (their premiums are low, if not negative, on the second hand market) but I suspect they'll become difficult to acquire in due time (I think there's even another thread on here about that). From time to time it's important to check your assumptions, so I gladly welcome those with tt-subs and tt-daytonas participating. When presenting the data, I'll most likely filter results with and without the tt-models.

Was an ex1 214270. I thought it was a SS pro model but it wasn’t listed. Anyhow I filled out the form for other and answered the questions.

Obviously it’s a lot easier to get then say a Daytona.
Thank you for filling it out anyway. Again, I will be processing the data rather than showing the completely raw results, so if you wrote in "Explorer 1" it'll be fine.

I didn't initially include it because I never found it difficult to obtain, but perhaps by the argument I just presented above, I should add it anyway.

This is basically the only situation where answering multiple times doesn't skew what the survey is trying to complete. Thank you!

Thanks for participating. Yes, we're just trying to address your most recent purchase; if your case is similar to @DocWho above, perhaps use a different browser or the same browser incognito mode to be able to fill out another response. If both watches were from the same AD, though, we'll just consider your most recent purchase. If you need to change any responses/add anything, feel free to PM me.

Good point. A lot of international participants actually have participated anyway and filled out their city and province, and in some instances, just the country. I'll specify it in the survey.

Bumping this for the Saturday afternoon crowd.

We're at 308 responses. One guy even messaged me to add responses to the updated questions. Thanks folks!

Heads up: we're at 329. When we reach 400, I will release a preliminary report/analysis.

Some of the options for answers are too restrictive/specific and do not apply.

Feel free to let me know which ones via PM. It's possible that I might have misworded something or wrote something awkwardly.

363 responses. 37 more before I release the preliminary report.

A friendly "bump" for folks in different timezones/schedules. If you have any questions about the survey, no matter how (seemingly) trivial, feel free to message me.

As usual, a big thank you to everyone who has participated.

Thanks- and thanks for your patience. At the rate it's going, I might be able to display the results in 1.5-2 weeks' time.

Cheers!

Results should be coming in soon- at 396 responses, we're just 4 away. Bump for the Saturday crowd- if you want your experience to count for the preliminary report, this is it!

Also, I'll remind everyone who took this survey early on- I did add several questions to push the survey from 10 to 14 questions. If you'd like to add more information to your experience, PM me and I'll help you add the additional answers.

Thanks!

Hello. I'm working on the dashboard, and Tableau Public (the software I'll use to publish the dashboard) is a little more restrictive than I remember.

In between my job and other projects, I will have time to continue building the dashboard (I worked on it this afternoon actually) and hope to have something within the week. I already spent some time cleaning some of the data, formatting them into arrays to better managing the incoming stuff. Also, a few people decided to leave some colorful "type" responses, so... there's that.

Until then, this link will let you see the breakdown of each question answered on the survey. So until my dashboard is finished (hopefully not too long), this should be interesting to look at.

Hint: some of the narratives pushed forth in the Rolex collecting world may not hold as strongly as we'd anticipated.

Wow. That is an understatement. So incredibly interesting.
Really puts a wrench in the old AD relationship theory!!
Thank you so much for doing this. Can’t wait to see the full results.
