If you have the funds and are ok going grey go for it. I’ve had my 5990 for about 2 months now and I still take a wrist shot every time I wear it. The size complaint I think is moot, yea it’s thicker than 5711/5712, but it’s not a thick watch by any means. And I like others have stated, actually like the thickness as it does give a a lot more wrist presence.
It’s thicker than the RM :) we just bought lol

Only because I really couldn’t believe this I had to look it up... Patek list 5990 at 12.53mm. Couldn’t even find the RM case dimensions on their site but other review sites list the rm29 at 12.6mm. So essentially the same, technical larger.

I haven’t been lucky enough to play with Richard Milles in the flesh so it could definitely wear smaller, but the actual case appears to be larger.

Yeah. The rm 029 contours more so it wears smaller believe, but could just be me...

Was offered a 5990 at my AD back in January 2018...absolutely loved the watch, but had to pass at the time due to other financial responsibilities (thanks IRS!). It is my favorite nautilus...absolutely amazing and super functional.

If you have the opportunity, I'd definitely pick it up.
