All the World's a Stage, Hemispheres, A Farewell to Kings & Exit Stage Left are some of my favourite albums from the 1970's (albeit one is from 1981). Love that Geddy is a watch geek.

With the news of Neil Peart’s passing, I sort of fell down the internet rabbit hole on Neil and Rush and his band mates. I found the Geddy Lee interview posted by the OP, which is awesome.

I also found a couple of great interviews of Neil Peart on YouTube. In the first one he looks to be wearing a 2000s era 36mm VC Overseas. In the other interview, as well as other interviews I’ve seen him in, he’s wearing a leather strap watch. There’s not a good enough close up to determine what it is, but I imagine it to be a Patek Calatrava.

For those who might be interested, links to the videos are below:

Best view of alleged VC at 3:54 in.

I’ve never seen you wear a watch on-stage.

Lee: Nope, I think it feels weird and looks weird up there. It’s about as useful as a date window on a Submariner, and it always struck me as a silly thing.

Thanks for sharing this! I guessed right about the Calatrava! I now have an even deeper appreciation for the Rush trio!

All I can think of is Neil. I've idolized this guy since I first got into "real" music during my college years. He's the greatest drummer of all time as far as I'm concerned. Glad I got to see Rush play a couple times before Neil's passing.

Interesting article Juho, thanks for posting (I missed this original thread).

Interesting how he compares collecting base guitars to watches.

I know Tag Heuer does not have the best reputation, but these old school Heuer's are definitely something!
