Didn't really like either quite enough to buy, even when they were cheaper than retail.

The white one doesn't do very much for me as I perceive it as just sporty but not elegant, unlike the blue one. The combination of elegance and sportiness is the key selling point of the Nautilus for me. If I want more sportiness I look elsewhere altogether as that also requires more robustness in my view, thinking tool watch... That said I wouldn't mind owning the white one as well but it isn't worth MSRP to me personally and much less market.

If I really wanted a white-dial SS sports watch I might hunt for a rare white-dial IWC Mark XV which is about how much money I'd happily spend on a white-dial sports piece.

The color blue is part of the DNA of the nautilus

black dial of the 2004 3711/1G would be a cool update.

To be honest, anything they put into the Nautilus case will sell like hot cakes.

I think it’s like that what happens to a sequel of a movie , people tend to prefer the original. And if you add the fact that the premium is higher and more sought after it’s easier to want the blue one. Of course that doesn’t mean that the white is no like able, actually is a pretty nice watch. So it means that people that goes for the white one is because they really like it more and/or is easier to get it. The motives are more specific therefore the sample is smaller.
So the answer it’s not an obscure one or one that denies the merits of the white dial is just how things work out. IMHO of course

I have both

And still prefer the 5711 blue dial.
The dial is a chameleon and really love it.

I like the white 11. After owning the 12, having another blue would be redundant and i find that the white suits better for my wrist so looking to add that one maybe next year

Don't own either but I have been tempted to pay the premium for white a couple of times. The blue 5712 just doesn't appeal to me, but the 5712 does.

I agree that the blue seems to have more depth. Plus if I could ever get my hands on one... I already have white covered by the Royal oak

+1 more for White over Blue. :)

(Except I do love my 5712 Blue. Very, very much so.)

Blue, by a mile and a half.

I actively dislike the "garage door" white dial. But it all comes down to personal taste in the end.

Let’s be honest boys and girls... if offered a white, you will buy a white, if offered a blue you will buy a blue. Doesn’t matter what u prefer
