Always
As an international man of mystery I must keep track of various time zones, at all times

I use it to pretend I am travelling, setting to correct time zone when watching a tv show set in another country. I also use it to make sure I am setting the date to change at midnight not noon.
All seriousness aside, I have no use for a GMT nor a chrono but I have at least 2 of each. They are cool. |

It’s been said a couple of times already, but as someone who travels frequently across time zones for work, it is nice to be able to keep the GMT hand set to home time. When I do so, looking at my watch then serves as a little reminder of my family. So, I do use the GMT feature, but for sentimental rather than practically purposes.

Use the GMT function constantly for both work and leisure. It's why I own 10 watches that provide more than one time zone.

I keep the GMT hand set to Hawaii time where I operate a vacation rental condo on Maui. Keeps that business top of mind.

I travel a lot and I use the feature! It’s actually quite helpful!

I travel frequently and always use it. I have an Explorer II, not a GMT. Same GMT function, but no rotating bezel.

Yes, I certainly do.
GMT hand is set to Zulu time. All times on the paperwork are in Z, so I use it every day I have to work (which is infrequently). The quick set hour hand is incredibly useful on layovers. I set it to destination time during cruise, so I can start to think about what time I'm going to be able to sleep. And a couple of planes I flew in a former life. Blue skies, y'all! -Napoleon |

I used it daily for years as a consultant. Now I’ve got SS and PM SkyD. I travel weekly to spots globally. For the record, I believe the watch should be used for its intended function or use a DJ. It is otherwise faux fashion. otherwise a sign of a faker.

i use a chrono once in a while if im wearing one. GMT....never, its useless to my daily routine.
I honestly believe not a single person who owns a BLNR or BLRO ever uses the GMT. |

As an airline pilot I use the GMT function on all my watches exactly as it was designed. Even had my AD comment it's cool I use the watch the way Rolex designed it.

I use it all the time. I have family in another country so keeping tab of their time is important when I want to make calls. Also when I travel I use it

I sure do. I also really enjoy how easy it is to jump the hour hand with this movement!

I’ve never used the chrono function on my Daytona, and I’ve used my subs and sea-dwellers in the water on rare occasion, but my GMTs get used for their intended purpose pretty consistently.

Rarely, but I have not been traveling lately across time zones.
But when I do, I will |

Yes. I travel often and use it when I do, and even when I’m not I use it to easily and quickly keep track of a counterpart’s market time.

Yes, but I prefer to use World timer when not traveling as you can see all time zones simultaneously.

Daily. I leave mine on Greenwich Mean Time all year round. During British Summer Time I use it to check the time on the One True Timezone, for the rest of the year I use it to verify that the local time is in sync with GMT.

If you travel or do business with folks in other time zones it’s very useful. I travel to Europe for 3 weeks every year. Set the GMT hand to us time. That way I know when to communicate with my team back home at a glance. When home the gmt hand is set to wear coat time.

After reading this thread it seems many use it for a second time zone and a few use it for actual GMT time. I am an airline pilot so fall into the GMT time users.
Has me wondering though, (and not that it matters because neither is wrong) but wasn't the GMT hand meant to be set to GMT so are all those that are simply using it for a second time zone actually using the watch for its intended purpose? |

Btw, outside the date complication, the GMT complication is probably one of the most used in the analogue watch world.
