Sub looks cleaner and dial is simple so you can read the time at a glance. Also, Daytona looks nice but most people do not use the chrono.

Both are great watches - you won't make a mistake - but I prefer Subs, and I have owned both and now have a White Gold Sub with blue dial. Legibility is the chief reason I went from platinum Daytona to Sub.

Blue my friend

The sunburst suits the full gold - maximum awesomeness compounded

I have both in TT. The Daytona with white dial and the Bluesy. My favorite is the Bluesy, but clearly both are wonderful watches. I think the Daytona may impress others a bit more but the Bluesy impresses me more.

Would do sub out of these options. However, I'd prefer Daytona if it was released with the ceramic bezel.

I own a WG Daytona and YG Sub, I much prefer the simplicity and profile of the Sub. The Daytona wears smaller than its 40mm size.

Exactly.. Too small for my wrist. The new sub is perfect.. But if you go Daytona, pick up the green dial..

I think the 6 digit sub is too blocky for gold. Looks better as a SS "tool" watch.

The Daytona is more refined and for lack of a better word, fancier. So is well suited to YG.

Daytona.... As I have pondered a PM Rolex it seems I prefer to Daytona. Black or Gold dial I think.

Yellow Gold Daytona vs. Yellow Gold Submariner

The Sub absolutely, I don’t care for Daytona’s the dials look cluttered & to busy. Subs are classic-

Go full Gold on Daytona and classic Rolex. TT and SS only for Subs and GMT in my opinion.

No wrong choice here, just get the one that sings to you.

Definitely the Sub. The blue full gold sub can pass for formal as well as casual because it isn't super busy. The Daytona can't pass for formal because it's just too busy. YG Subs or WG Daytonas.

YG, 40mm. Save a bunch of $ compared to sub or daytona.

Scratched my itch for the Gold Rolex sport model.
