Best post I have read in a long time!
Congrats on the purchase.
It is a truly amazing story, and like others before me have said, exemplifies what a Rolex piece is all about.
Im sure your boys will be proud to wear them and to re-tell their legacy.

A great story. The seller offered soime good wisdom. It is also pretty cool that you have the insight to offer your sons somethin unique on their 21st birthday. Hopefully, they will have the same love of watches that you have. I know you are probably looking forward to their 21st bday to give them these treasured picese. However, re,e,ber to enjoy life with them along the way.

Thank you all for your kind words. The watch and story have been circulating around with the hopes to inspire others to do something similar.

To me family always comes first and I feel very blessed to have such wonderful gifts in my children

Fantastic story and beautiful letter. Thanks for sharing it. I hope you enjoy watching your boys grow up and it sounds like it will be an amazing 21st birthday party. My own son turns 21 in a few months and watching him grow up has made me realize how fast the time goes and how important it is to have family traditions. I have just sent my old Rolex Air King off to the RSC so I can give it to him on his birthday.

Tom,
That will be a great gift! You should come to the next Toronto GTG ... The site was down for me and i couldn't get a big crew ... on person showed up, but we had a great time discussing watches and family ... gotta love Torontonians!

Thank you for sharing. I absolutely love his quote on God winding our hearts but once. I love God and watches so what a fantastic perspective. Great reminder that our lives are but a breath.
