Winding my Air King 14010
I just got a 2002 Air King. When winding it by the crown, is it supposed to stop winding at a certain point, or should it be able to continue winding the crown even if the main spring is fully wound?

With most all automatic watches Rolex included once the mainspring is fully wound it just slips in the spring-barrel, just like it would do on the wrist. So there is no stop like on a manual wind watch so you cannot over-wind.

Thanks for responding, then if mine gets tight at a certain point where it feels like it wont wind anymore, then this would be a problem?

Yes. This would indicate that the mainspring is not turning within it's captive barrel, which it is supposed to do when fully wound.

Most of the watch needs to be taken apart to get to the mainspring. You will not know until you can actually see what the problem is.
