My favorite current stainless steel Rolex would have to be the SD43. But the BLRO is a close second.

Submariner, steel and black only. Followed by a Explorer. That’s all.

Explorer for current production, with nothing else even coming close... GMT for previous generation with a white Daytona as an extremely close second.

♛- Yet to be determined, but a white 16520 is on the short list. (I believe that I'll be able to read it better than my old 116520)

I love all the color/metal options that the GMT offers. But if I had to pick a one and only it would have to be a Sub.

Platinum DayDate with diamond bezel and dial or whichever piece carries the highest markup. I want to be a good customer.

GMT for me. Plenty of water resistance for 99% of people and the extra complication is nice to have. Also older GMTs had 120 click or friction bezels so they could be used as timer timers for 60 minute or 24hr periods.

Seems to always be a similar result. Diver followed by GMT followed by Daytona. Might be fun to see a Sea (Sub, SD, YM), Air (AK, SkyD, GMT), and Land (Daytona, Milgauss, Explorer) poll but I'd bet the results would be the same. Sea > Air > Land

But mark me down for Air forever. Love them all but the GMT and SkyD (and even AK) resonate with me the most.

Yes as expected Sea > Air > Land. This poll also shows that although the ceramic Daytona and the blue Sky Dweller are the hardest models to get, they are not the most popular on TRF. One may suspect Rolex is deliberately controlling the ceramic Daytona production, and maybe more so for the Sky Dweller to create a sought after model like PP does with SS.

I need a black bezel Diver. Would never think of a submariner, always Sea Dweller.

I am not surprised that the Daytona, GMT and Sub are top of the list as they are the most sought after watches on the planet hence the stupid prices for them secondhand and the daft waiting list times in an AD.

What I am surprised about is that with 305 votes registered the DJ is the least popular, even a YM beats it.

GMT — just such a perfect sport watch, great design, function, colors, history... worn by aviation and space pioneers — Chuck Yeager, Jim Lovell and many other astronauts, Magnum PI, etc... It is my favorite watch from each era — 4 digit, 5 digit, and 6 digit.

Yes very surprising. maybe the new DJ41 will change that. DJ need time after the previous DJ2 model. In my opinion the DJ41 is better looking than a YM, and even explorer. Maybe the two of them classified as sports Rolex makes them special to people on TRF. Real world DJ41 is doing fine.

Sea-Dweller 43 is my favorite. If I were only able to have just one stainless steel Rolex watch, that would be the one.

I still might pickup a WG OF one though.

The Rolex community has changed considerably since the late 80s. It used to be people bought what they liked and wore them doing everything. Now the questions are how to remove scratches, should I buy this, will the price go up and horde them in safes. It’s crazy.

True. That’s down to the fact that you can now double your money in 24 hours by purchasing the right watch at retail. Rolex have caused this madness!!
