Guess that is more difficult if not bought from a shop.

So if you bought say from me for example would it be acceptable for WF for a screenshot of my online bank statement showing transfer of the funds to the. original owner?

Proof of transfer and an invoice is normally sufficient

After i read ur post i made a registration on their website, i bought a Pp 5960 from the grey although the cert is not under my name i still made a registration. I think its safer to make a registration under ur name on their website on the owner registration page. Today i just received the patek magazine they sent me atleast now i know mine was not reported stolen on pp data base

According to the Patek service center, they do not know if a watch is stolen watch or not, they dont have a system like that. However they can check authenticity. Checking authenticity of the certificate is free, but checking the movement must pay.

Which PSC made that representation?

What if registered owners report their loss to Patek directly? I can understand if owners did not report to Patek about their losses, and Patek will not be able to verify consequently. However, surely there must be a mechanism for tracking direct report of theft by registered owners?

If the theft is reported to Patek then they know, the OP stated his AD told him this in the opening post.

I took his previous post as a blanket statement that Patek does not have a system to track stolen watches, and replied along that line. I didn't re-read his first post.
