I started on Vespa motorscooters, then "graduated" to a beloved 2006 Triumph Bonneville -- last year they made the 865 engine with a carb, and the last year they made them in Goodwood Green. Air- and oil-cooled classic. Fun bike and bulletproof, like a Rolex. Then last year I upgraded to a 2018 Triumph T120 -- 1200cc, water cooled, 6 speed, dual fuel injectors. Awesome bike!

“ride” is an ever changing subjective term as motorcycles, just as watches, have in many cases become more trend and status worthy. That being said, I usually cover 20k - 30k miles a year, but as I get older, the rides are more challenging, but documented less. The “ride” has become more of the focus instead of sharing with others. The next few years will be focused on exploring the Rockies, and quite possibly involve a move to western Montana.

My long distance days are over. I finally sold my heavy Harley Ultra Classic and and then my Road King. I picked up a 2018 Bonneville T120 (same colors as yours). 8 months later, I bought the new Speedmaster when it came out.

These have been 2 great bikes. I love the light weight and they are so much easier to move around for this old guy. I have put 3 times the miles on them than I did my big Harleys in the last couple years.

Motorcycles.... anyone ride?

2006 Triumph Speed Triple 1050cc
Fun bike, Thinking of getting something a bit more comfortable either a new BMW 1250GS or a Triumph Bonneville

OH MAN.... No idea why the forum didn't notify me of new posts... Subscribed etc.

Some nice bikes in here. A lot of cruisers etc. Anyone do any track days or race? That Eddy Lawson garage is rad!

My wife won't let me buy any more watches... im trying to trade motorcycle parts for a new piece. I own Motorsport Exotica. We are a performance shop located in Los Angeles.

If anyone has any questions im always around for some help.

Nice! How does the Speedmaster compare to your T120?

Agreed.
I used to just refer to them as "owners" rather than "Riders" as I used to ride over 100 days/year (mostly commuting) but then last year my back surgery kept me off the Mighty Valkyrie and my future riding is hopeful but uncertain so I've softened my position.

I've never really been a long distance rider but it could definitely be fun.

I'm more of a Wine Country back roads kind of rider and go out every week for a few hours.

Nice to see so many Triumphs here. I love mine, a 2012 Triumph Thunderbird 1600.

My previous one was a Triumph Speedmaster 866.

Absolutely stunning, and would love to have been along this type ride to see these breathtaking sights! Seeing these photos makes me feel like I've been doing to wrong type of riding for the past 23yrs. Keep enjoying the rides!

This old guy is in your boat too. Sold my Ultra Classic last year because I was getting tired of wrestling with it every time I backed it out of the garage. Kept my Heritage, it has only about 2000 miles on it and is much easier to push around. Hopefully this Summer I'll get to ride more, we'll see.

True that, but it doesn't hurt to look for a couple of minutes. You got somewhere else to go while in quarantine?

These days of travel and companionship seem so far away right now. I cannot wait for them to return. I know I will be much more appreciative of them. I'm standing next to the HD Triglide.
