Alternate options vs seadweller 116600?

The SD4K is great. Another option would be the IWC 353602 Aquatimer GST 2000. Build quality is incredible, 42mm but wears a bit smaller and you they are 1/4 the price of the SD4K. Probably not a popular suggestion on this forum

Congrats! That’s a great timepiece, especially in your collection. You still get the matte dial, plus red lettering. Also, better proportion of watch thickness to overall size along with proportioned lugs IMO. Considering you already have 2 no cyclops subs, this will fit nicely and add variety.

I’ve bought mine when it was first released (02 May 2014) when it wasn’t very popular. It’s a great watch and I never understood why people didn’t like it. I still love it today, and in fact am wearing it today.

I personally think it looks very different to a Sub, and I’m in the massive minority of people that don’t actually like the current Sub.

It sits fine. The old 16600 was a great watch but I found that to be top heavy, I’ve never found that with the 116600.

It’s a great watch. Certainly not the last sport watch with date and no cyclops as the current DSSD still does not have a cyclops. Can’t think of any reason to talk you out of it...awesome watch, and yes the dial is great!

It’s different in that the date has no cyclops... a last for Rolex possibly?
Dial is matte black which is nice for a change.
Lugs/ case wear slightly smaller than a 40mm sub

One thing I'll mention off the bat is the 116600 was discontinued in 2017, so double check the watch. If it's indeed a 2018, that raises a big red flag.

Beyond this, I own the BLNR and 116600. I think they're a great duo and offer great complementarity to each other. You've listed many of the same reasons I chose to buy this watch, all of which I still find attractive to this day. If you're on the fence, I say go for it
