I've got two rolls; one Wolf and one el cheapo. Both bought off of Amazon at far, far less than the Everest. I mean I can't brag that I've got the most expensive best made in the world however they doe the job really well.

I tried all types of watch boxes all until settling for more portability and importantly, protection over aesthetics. This one cost me $70 from amazon last year. Looks like Case Club customizes Pelican cases.

With something like this I'd try and get a professional foam converter to make a custom insert. I've cut foam inserts before, but by hand, you're never gonna get the kind of accuracy these deserve. This place offers custom foam inserts, there are probably plenty more that will do it as well. Not sure how much it will set you back though. Have a shop around I say.

That ate away at my brain for a week. I ordered a fairly large jewelry safe that’s coming in two weeks; a Liberty Home 12.

I am looking at options for storage boxes in the 10-12+ size range. Want the option of housing up to 32-36 watches.

I could split that up into three cases. Could do Rolex/Tudor in one, Omega in another and “other” in the third.

Here is what I think requirements are:
Cell space big enough that watches won’t touch.
Cells covered in something soft.
See through top.
Looks nice (the pelican case was very functional but that’s it)
Cases stored horizontally; shelves are 13.5” (34cm) x 19.5” (49.5cm)

I’ve been looking on Amazon where some things look great but I can’t tell what’s looks-good-crap or not.

Thoughts on quality cases? Any thoughts on topic in general?

Thanks!
Uhh why not simply store the pelican cases in the safe? You can get custom made pelicn cases for 3/6/12/24/36 watches i believe. Thats how i do it. Bit tight in my case, i fit 4 cases, each hold 6 watches but i can bang the pelican cases in the safe when putting them in or taking them out, no problem.

Can anyone comment on if these $30-$60 Amazon cases have soft enough inserts to accomodate a 6.5" bracelet fitment? I currently have a cheap case I want to replace (plus it only holds 4 watches), and the inserts are fairly hard and don't compress. I have to store watches with the clasp undone, unless I want to put a lot of stress on the bracelet by forcing it closed.

Even better would be literal pillows to wrap the watch around, which would be very compliant. Haven't seen that kind of design except in presentation single watch boxes though.

Also have smallish wrist (6.75"). Have a collection so ordered <cough> a few </cough> of these for $32 each. They're really great, COMPACT for the efficiency of storage, and keeps the timepieces padded and safe. Even the 44mm Paneri Luminor is fine, so it can store larger timepieces too. It is more a SNAP close and not a (strong) magnet, so no need to be paranoid about magnetism:

I found this at an AD/Jewelry store that sold a few brands sans Rolex. By chance I spotted this with the Rolex green color. I could not pass it up.

If you want to put all your watches (eggs?) in one basket (box?) it certainly makes it easier for a thief to get everything in one go.

I can confirm. Probably the best value out there for a box. It's very well made.

**The blue box is much darker in person.

Have about 12 various timepiece cases here from my 'old' LV Monogram 8-watch to Wolf, and quite a few others. For mass storage with efficiency, the Amazon one I posted above really is the best I've found and quality is good. Report back once you get it.

Any thoughts on trapping condensation in a Pelican case from the foam insert (or from it oxidizing over time)? Apparently it's a concern for other communities (guns, cameras, etc).

I'd think a desiccant pouch would solve this concern.

Noob question. Got my first Rolex today, and have a couple omegas to go with it. I don't envision my collection ever going past 10.

I was just going to buy a couple Wolf rolls and throw them in my safe.

My question is about moisture. With guns, for example, even ones that are stainless steel, people say never to keep them in foam cases or in anything that can retain moisture. Is there not the same concern for watches? These guns that you see people keeping in dehumidified safes are stainless also, yet they still say, never store in foam or soft cases.

Thanks.
