Thank goodness these aren't in a Sub.

Seriously.

I would have to buy all four. Also, move to Miami or the Keys. These wouldn't cut it in Reno.

Blue one was the only one I cared for, but didn’t like the strap.

They weren't for me, but the ones I saw "in the wild" in Tokyo were strikingly beautiful, much nicer than the photograph would suggest.

I suppose this multi million dollar (maybe billion dollar) industry that employs thousands of people globally is just filled with all fools, Because you don’t like the market value of, well I guess all watches lol.

What is an internet over hyped price even mean? It’s also known as “the price”. In fact what does a gray dealer even have to do with a Daytona that hasn’t been available through an AD for what, 25 years? I get grays jumping for joy over the market value of a 116500 or another current model. But this Daytona in discussion has nothing to do with shortage and availability. It’s completely irrelevant and Just another way for you to sneak in negative comments about your disdain for this hobby.

Btw, you actually think you didn’t look like a fool to 99% of the people in the world, 30 years ago (or whenever the last time you felt passionate enough to actually buy a watch) when you spent $4000 on a diver!? Yeah cause spending 4K on a watch made all the sense in the world in 1990. But anything, at all having to do with today’s market is for fools.

While I don't think I'd personally wear a Beach Daytona, I think it's a really cool and unique watch. A while back, I saw that Ellen has the baby blue Beach Daytona on a matching color strap. It looked amazing on her. I could see these becoming collectors items down the road given their (I would assume) rarity.

If you have the money and you can wait a few years then 24k is a good price judging by the value of other Daytonas.
I think they look fun and different to anything else I've seen from Rolex , the price will rocket on them.

I like to wear all my watches though and I feel these would be better suited for women

I owned a blue dial 116519 Rolex Daytona Beach. It was truly a piece of eye candy. Furthermore, the blue dials are made out of a solid piece of turquoise so each dial is unique, due to the different grains of the stone. The Daytona Beach edition watches are defiantly going to go up in value, as they are fairly tasteful, but also watches that Rolex will probably never make again. Add in the unique color schemes and dials as well. I bet these will go for crazy money down the road.

Wow Taylor, that blue color is a lot more intense than I expected... and a very beautiful shade of blue
Until I looked into it, I didn't know they used real stone, turquoise etc.

I think limited production and rarity will prove your prediction correct...

Daytona "Beach"??? Remember these?

Cool watches, would wear the yellow color one, probably on a black leather band!

Thanks for sharing. Definitely a lot more legible than some of the current lineup.

What a difference a strap change makes! That is really, really nice. I miss the old roman and arabic Daytona dials. They have all been discontinued, but IMHO they were the ones to have (and kind of why I have one now)
