Yeah definitely too risky as many people have mentioned and I hope my mistake serves as a reminder that its just not worth the savings and/or access to the watch.

The seller seems very level headed so warnings for everyone else that might fall into this trap.

Have you got your money back OP? I suspect he will have posted a fake watch. Don't even sign for it.

Exactly... refuse delivery. You could even call FedEx now and redirect it to sender.

The listing has been reported/invalidated, so that should help move things along in your favor.

I’ve seen Forum pics used on eBay and even a Craig’s post in Pennsylvania.

It’s a fun game to play.

Yep. watch looked genuine, the fakes are good but not that perfect.

Final Update

Hi Everyone,

Just a final update. Watch never came so I didn't need to deny the shipment. eBay was not helpful after the fraudulent seller was kicked out of the platform and just directed me to PayPal. PayPal case was opened but they were hung up on resolving the issue within eBay platform (pointing fingers at each other). Nonetheless American Express came thru as always and resolved the investigation and provided me with the refund.

BUY THE SELLER & NOT THE WATCH can't be said enough. Thanks for all your help and support in this process! Amazing community especially supporting each other with the ones providing constructive recommendations. At FreeflyI can't thank you enough.

Congrats on getting refunded. Did the scammer get any money or was it all stopped before it had a chance to clear his account?

These two posts contradict one another....

Doesn't look like "crap photos" to me...He took the pictures from a listing here on TRF that actually looks really good...

I'm just glad you got your money back; definitely a lesson to learn about seller. Another one, be patient and aware of the situation - ADs are closed for a reason and rushing to buy a Rolex can results in headaches. But hopefully you learned well. Good luck on future purchases :).

On looking again i have to agree with you...but this makes the listing look even more unbelievable....zero feed back, amazing photos and paid up front what could possibly go wrong

Any way just glad the op got the situation sorted....a very luck escape for sure

Missed page 2 somehow, see that you got your money back, congrats. Probably the only pro Ebay has going for it is buyer protection

I hate to say it but probably you'll get a different watch than shown (serial number ?), or it's an excellent fake.
I don't have any pull with an AD's so have been resigned to the gray market for a while and it's sometimes like walking through the jungle I tell you.
Definitely "buy the seller" because not doing so, or looking for great great prices will more often than not work out badly ime.

No disrespect but if this event, help and advice doesn’t warrant a $35 Pledge, I don’t know what does.

Be well lucky man.
