I saw the same photo on the Dutch local rolex forum. So new style card is probably issued in the European Union first.

Saw this from a sales post on FB a few days ago, from Europe if I remember correctly.

Why? Is there not a Rolex store in the 190 countries which use that format?

Look at the print. It's written in non english first, with the english translation below. Might we expect to see an all english and a non english version.

You know where Rolex is made right? You know what language they speak there? Did you also know that the most recent warranty cards also have those same two languages?

Wasn’t criticizing you, was actually helping you to potentially learn something :)

No, it's all greek to me....

A issued card, in a non english country I would think should read differently. Or with the options for either. OK?

Interesting and thanks for the confirmation David.
I bought a watch 3 weeks ago and it still had the regular card format.

As a former manager of an authorized dealer, if Rolex removes the name from the card, there will be a more sophisticated (hidden) way to track the watch and warranty card. RFID or something similar. Rolex does not make moves that don’t help in their goals. I think this will be a better way to put pressure on dealers to conform to their guidelines and track gray market.

I’m so happy I was able to get my first from an AD with my name engraved to the card last month. That was part of the reason I wanted it, to officially have just one in my name. Just a heightened sense of ownership compared to the pre-owned I have. Understandable that others don’t care or feel this way, though.

Once Rolex reopens they will do a Rollout. Will be sometime before it is done by every dealer

Same as the current warranty card style took over a year to fully roll out
Have the terms of the warranty changed?

But now RSC NY might actually have to have the warranty follow the watch and not the owner! What will the do!?

I don't really mind if my name is on the card or not - I am more interested in being the first owner - so buying from an AD. YMMV.

Waiting to secure a Date Sub, BLNR, or SD43 from an AD may take a while for me, but my hesitation going grey is having someone else’s name on the card. With this new format, I’d have no hesitation going the grey route. Will be even more inclined if I go with a Smurf in a couple of years!

I don’t really care if my name is on the card.

I recall from the two I bought last year there is some watch registration process at the time the watch is purchased. I believe the registration includes the buyers name. I will have to go back and look at what I have to be sure.

I cannot comment on the card it self but I traded a lot with that dealer and he is 100% legit (https://precisionwatches.nl/)

This is great news. I am one of those who hate other peoples names on the card and I have no purchase experience with any Rolex AD to getting one new was quite impossible. In a year or so when these are fully rolled out I'll pick a sub c no date out from a grey

I purchase primarily from ADs and prefer the name on the card.

Definatley a European date format and the number one is European style as well with the diagonal stroke starting from left. Germans write number ones in this manner, from my experience.
Or Canada

Look closely at lines around the crown on the left. Thin, bold, dotted.

This is a digital fingerprint that can track warranty details. It is just not printed on the card. Less obvious than a QR code but serves the same purpose.

How does having an RFID chip in the card help Rolex track the watch and warranty card? Since the warranty card is scanned at POS and the sale date is entered into Rolex's database, Rolex knows by looking at the serial number of the watch when the warranty expires. What else does it need to know to offer warranty service?
