it is a beautiful watch. Greys were selling it around £ 42000 and very soon it will be available at retail.

And then the frustration will begin...trying to get the right light and exposure on the camera to capture that beautiful green dial and warm golden glow of the watch and bracelet.

* pricing threads are liable to be locked as Mods have been asked to lock those type of threads. Yours isn’t aimed at pricing but is more a celebration of an incoming. So posters should just focus on the watch. There are always a jackwagon or two who will be Debbie Downers and attack the price you paid.

Pay them no heed as jackwagons they be...

Is it here yet?

Great watch - like mine a lot

P.s. I haven't paid over retail for a watch, I actually get a thrill from the wait and the surprise and if its my time then happy days. But anyone thinking this is an overpayment, whilst it is above retail, its a decent deal. At some point this will go up another 5-10%. I remember thinking this about the ceramic daytonas when they were listed for 13-14k GBP from 9.5k list (ish). If only I had a time machine.

And most importantly, I'm sure most of us are on basic monthly salaries not to dissimilar than the premium paid here. Whats 1 month's worth of cash in the grand scheme of things!

Enjoy it

Plus at that price a few grand here or there doesn’t really make a difference.
I would ignore the you over paid comment/s , I have been waiting a Year in the U.K. for mine to turn up . I already have had to pay a 10% price increase on Jan 1st 2020 . The one you have bought is the cheapest Grey 116508 Green Dial I have seen in the U.K. or Europe.

Enjoy the watch it’s stunning and in five years price will have been forgotten and it’s likely to have been discontinued by then .Great Catch .

Wow, it is that long of a wait in the U.K.? I put a 10% deposit down in August and had mine by November with no prior purchase history. Maybe I just got lucky.

I think the luck of the local dealer has a lot to do with how affluent and therefore how many buyers live in that geographical location. The more affluent the area, the more buyer busting the local dealer, the more buyer competing for the incoming AD watches. It’s just a theory but may have some validity.

Congratulations. It's my favorite current Rolex.

Obviously it was worth what you paid for it. That's all that matters. It's a luxury item that costs more than the average person's car. All the hang wringing over possibly saving a couple thousand if you waited and waited is humorous.

Few shots of the latest addition. So pleased, it’s so much better in real life, pictures do not do it justice. And the dial tones are spot on.

Struggling to resize all my images. But here’s one. It’s lovely. Thanks for all the nice positive comments. Not bothered about the slight premium paid not that Iv received the watch and been able to bond with it. Great watch

Congratulations!!! Strange to think that during all this madness someone’s had the exact same life today. The dial is amazing, when I got the watch I think I just looked at it for an hour. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I think I’ll enjoy mine!

This dial and the Hulk dial are the two best IMO.

If they made a gold Hulk, it would command a premium also.

Congrats it’s such a nice watch. If you overpaid a bit, not a bid deal.

If you plan on keeping it it doesn’t matter plus
You probably would have waited much longer or had to buy unwanted items to make it to the top of the list

Also, this seems like a low volume run, I think the scarcity of this dial will keep it in demand for years to come.

** UPDATE **

When I bought the 116508 green dial I didn’t have it sized up by the dealer, just picked the watch up. Since then I ordered some tool, etc and today they finally arrived. I removed two links (very carefully, hand was shaking like I was disarming an explosive device) successfully with making a mark. Still haven’t removed the stickers.... I won’t wear this watch daily, more of a special occasion watch; so because we’re still in lockdown I haven’t had a reason to remove the stickers and wear it out. In any case I sized it up and wore it correctly for the first time.

I dreamed about buying the watch for 4 years (4 years ago my financial status was dramatically different / worse) and to me (I’ll admit a Daytona enthusiast) it’s my modern grail piece. Value could depreciate by 50% and to me it’s still worth every penny I paid. Gives me the same feeling I still get putting on my first ever Swiss watch (116520 WF) I bought myself 10 years ago when I had no business spending that kinda money on a watch. Anyway, thought I’d share my story, hope you all experience the same excitement I do.

More importantly hope your all well during COVID-19! Be safe
