Perfect watch if you have a larger wrist, better fit than a sub for larger folks ,

Thank you guys, it's good to see so many SD43 fans out there. Today received good news, the AD called us to let us know that they can arrange for the watch to be delivered. Hopefully I will have it beginning of next week. Can't wait, sooo excited. Will post some photos when I receive it. Thanks again everyone for your support. Wishing everyone the best of health and keep safe.

Very nice collection!

It doesn’t damage at all. I have the Rodeo Drive version which has the titanium crown so not sure if that helps but it looks pristine still. Happy to send some pics if that would help

I have just joined this forum and would like to introduce myself as Simon Cutajar. I live in Malta and have just decided to purchase a Rolex for my 50th Birthday.
I visited our only AD in Malta to try my luck at purchasing a Rolex after researching and noting how difficult it is to obtain a Rolex from an AD. I was hoping to buy a GMT Master II Pepsi. Unfortunately the AD informed me that this was one of the most difficult watches to obtain and that the waiting list was over a year.
However they informed me that they had in stock a Sea Dweller 43 which i could purchase. Knowing that to find this watch available from an AD was extremely difficult i grabbed the opportunity and put a deposit on the watch to secure the sale.
I do not have it in my possession yet as the AD was forced to lockdown due to the unfortunate events with the Covid-19 situation.
However as soon as they re open i will collect the watch.
I thought this would be the opportune watch for my 50th Birthday considering that it is also the 50th anniversary watch for the Sea Dweller.
Do you think i made a good decision with the purchase of this watch. I paid Eur 10,850 retail price which i thing is great for this watch. Any opinions on my choice, thank you?

Simon
50th birthday is a big deal.

SD43 is an awesome watch, but so is the Pepsi.

You really should think about which you really want for your 50th rather than going with the SD43 just because it's available.

That said, you may end up loving the SD43, and the 50th/50th connection is really cool. And then add a Pepsi later.

But if it's only going to be this one watch for a while, or forever, may want to give it more thought.

How about some gold for your 50th? I turned 50 a month ago.

Yeah that 126603 is a beauty.

It's a shame they slapped £900 on it in January but still take it over an over-priced SS 40mm model.

You also get two for the price of one on purist-annoying features: cyclops and gold. Love it :)

Congratulations Simon! I personally love the SD43 and love the fact that it's a 50th anniversary edition and that it's your 50th birthday, well done sir!
