I am a big fan of alternative straps but in this case I would stick to the bracelet

I think smarty end links plus Oysterflex straps or rubber B swim skin is okay. Not a huge fan of the ones that go directly to the case here personally. The end look looks important for the watch IMHO.

I think this looks terrific! I think the 116519LN WG looks great on the OF with the built in end links. However, I like the black Daytona here with the black rubber going right to the bezel. Just looks great to my eye. Maybe the white Daytona would look good with OF and smarty end links.

Can you share some photos of this awesome combo? Thanks

Thank you, my friend actually has the 116519LN and I fell in love with the casualness of the rubber. The black dial w/o end links creates a sense of continuity to the watch which I love.

I agree the smarty end links may help break up the white/black stark contrast.

It looks really good on the black dial. After seeing the comparison, I do feel it's easier to the eyes to transition from the black dial, black bezel and the black rubber strap.

Why did you went with the all black strap instead of the the one with a small red stripe to match the red Daytona writing on the dial?

I didn't want to take away from the pop of red on the dial. With, or without, I think the both look nice.

I'd go with Rubber B. The Rolex Bracelet is awesome, but Rubber B is more comfortable to me and I love the red/black combo on the watch with the Rubber B strap on. Looks legit.

I had the Rolex bracelet on my Daytona for a while, but I switched to Rubber B once I saw their brown strap and tried it on. Incredibly comfortable. And the color matches the dial perfectly. No brainer for me, especially since your strap matches too.

Don't have a Daytona (one day), but I love Rubber B on my GMT. Can't beat their color options and I live a pretty active lifestyle, which Rubber is more conducive to. But some people prefer the traditional look of the Rolex bracelet. Different strokes for different folks.

I do enjoy rubber for a different look, from time to time. The rubber you chose is a good look. I have a red RubberB for my ExII polar for the summer.

unpopular opinion: i can't stand curved/fitted rubber straps
i prefer rubber look like a strap with straight ends than try to mimic the bracelet

id no doubt go for the bracelet on most modern rolex

I have a black Rubber B and am fortunate enough to have black and white Daytonas. I really don’t care for it on a white dial but it’s pretty good on the black.

The Daytona is imo best on bracelet though.
