Oh my god, this thing is really bothering some people a lot. I can understand if you have a problem with Rolex nicknames in general, but to only have a problem with Batgirl is a bit strange, and I will stop at that. I say give it time maybe they didn't have time to update the search with Batgirl being a 2019 reference, and Covid. A year ago you couldn't get anything if you searched Batman too. The important thing is that Rolex does approve of nicknames for their references, or maybe only the ones they like.

Kidding aside, I'm old-school and find it sad enough that a 'batman' search yields results on their website. Cheers Marc |

It's been like that on their website for at least 4-5 months. Problem is everyone who doesn't own it will say batgirl to differentiate.

The mother ship saw sense. Batman and Hulk were enough but this. Ridiculous. How dare people come up with such ridiculousness.
Even though it's been finally cleared up I shall continue not to take seriously and refuse to help anyone who uses it.

Cannot understand why perhaps for those who have not grown up or those who still live in the child like kindergarten age.

At first I thought that the batgirl name was dumb, then I realized that there isn't anyone that doesn't benefit from having a hot girl on his arm.

Batgirl was one of the most unfitting nicknames I’ve ever heard. For example did the Pepsi become something different like a Diet Pepsi for moving to SS from WG. And what about when it moved to WG did that become the Pepsi Max. No all still the Pepsi. A change in bracelet does not change the watch. To me it’s the BLNR, but if you must it’s a Batman for both 116710 and 126710BLNRs

It’s called best practices for setting up an internal site search vs Rolex supporting the name.

Sorry, but I still don't like these silly names for a nice watch. I guess I'm too old.

So this has apparently gotten totally out of hand... I guess a group of very PC people are apparently wanting to sue Rolex for discrimination. Because they are using "Batman" and not "Batgirl" they are claiming that Rolex is being derogatory towards women.
The article can be found here. Nuts world we live in when people go to court over this.... |

It will always be the Batgirl... Sorry that people that own it don’t like the nickname. Should have bought the Batman.

Interesting replies to this and I think we can all agree that the BLNR in any iteration is a great reference

Let's call it Bat Person. We all know the new Bat themed movie will feature a gender fluid person dawning as caped crusader and a watch themed after should be reflective of that and acceptance in our society.
Thank you. |

Rolex originally called the 116710BLNR bezel the day/night bezel in some of their literature.
