I don’t work night shifts but remember some rotations where I did, I was not a fan. Definitely took a toll on me. Kudos to those who manage it well, I certainly didn’t.

It’s strange that this thread popped up. I was recently promoted to night operations manager. A few hours of OT was always the norm before but now they have changed the logistics of our loading process so things have become a bit more tedious and for the past 2 months I find myself there 12-15 hours a night. I have lost any chance to do anything at home during the week. I go in at 3:30pm and generally leave between 4-6am. It is really starting to burn me out. Not to mention Uncle Sam is really getting a nice chunk of my pay.
