Thats a lovely watch congratulations, I was all set to get a YM 40 with the blue dial, tried it on and everything just needed the watch to come in, and when it did I passed.

Possibly a stupid thing to have done.

Thank you, I can hardly imagine what types of scam one can do with the serial# of another mans watch, but also in these matters do I find myself way too naiv.

Thank you so much - yes for me the platinum is as you say a secret bonus. Not sure if it will be coveted in the future but I'm glad to have it now. I also quite like not going with the flow with all the Subs.

Yes just to hide the serial number because manufacturers of fake watches steal numbers.

Thank you. I also have passed on watches I now regret missing out on (the Bluesy!) RE the blue YM - the blue looks amazing but the red hand/text is not deep/dark red enough for me. I think you have to go with your instinct with watches - it is an emotional decision in reality.

Thank you - I was actually really surprised, especially since Rolex doesnt use anti-reflective coating - the dial just seems to come alive in bright light.

Thanks! It’s a red date wheel, same used on the Datejust Turnograph. It came with the watch installed when purchased and decide to leave it in (also came with the factory black one) as like it a lot, both on its original silver dial as well as now with the blue dial
