I bought my Sea-dweller as NOS. Peeled off the stickers immediately and wore it for 4 years. Sold it 2 weeks ago for the price I paid originally. Quite happy. Dealer sold it 2k more.

NOS makes sense if you don't intend to wear it, only collect. Else I'd look for the best possible deal on a mint full set.

I've always found NOS to be in an odd "no-mans" land.

Tear off the stickers to wear is very costly, why not just buy a mint one for a lot less? But if you buy it to not wear, then what's the point? Buy stocks or real estate!

I do have a 116520 that I was gifted over a decade ago. Never tore off the stickers or sized it as I hated the watch. Now I have been intrigued by it again, but I'm stuck in that awkward spot where peeling the stickers would have an implied cost of thousands, but then I also wonder what's the point if I can't actually realize the investment value given that it was a milestone gift and I'll never part with it.

But Like you, I actually use them.

For when I shoot the M3 w/ 50 Lux, I wear the Speedmaster.
M10 w/ 35 Lux, I wear the Rolex 116710LN

You're not crazy if you have unlimited funds or are a collector who never intends to to wear the watches.

NOS is a minefield.

If it’s not bought from an AD it’s not NOS?
