Yeah, for 98% of people it wouldn’t be worth it. For me personally, the only two things I didn’t like about the old one were addressed, making the new one my perfect watch. I had to grab it.

Congratulations. Stunning watch with stunning pictures. I'm yet to try one on but reading these forums, it appears a lot of you have the same opinion on it not wearing any bigger or smaller.. just a slight difference.

I disliked the increase in size, I HATED the thicker bracelet, the thick clasp that I saw in videos etc..

Then I tried one on. Loved it. Didn't notice any of the above once on the wrist. Looks A LOT more balanced in real life compared to the old one.

Wears similar in size, as you also see in the pictures here.

Would I prefer it being 1mm smaller? Yes, but I also have smaller wrists. If you have 'regular' sized wrists then it's going to look great on you.

To 99.9% of the world (if even bothered) a Sub is a Sub only on TRF will the change be scrutinised, saying that I hope to pick a 12 reference on a visit to AD this month.

Congrats Dave. Great pics.

Since you pointed out the difference in hand size, I can't stop noticing it.

One question. The dial and markers seem a tad larger on the 12 series. Is that correct, or just these aging eyes.

Stay safe and enjoy your fantastic duo.

Best side-by-side comparison pic I have seen so far. Both look great but they really nailed it with the latest

Congratulations !! Having owned the "Fat Boy" 114060, I can honestly say that it wore large for a 40mm ! The dial on the new 124060 sure looks smaller in the photos..probably due to the 22mm lug spacing. It's defiantly more proportionally looking. However, but both are great looking pieces in their own way !!

Hahaha, I called it that in jest, as I'm sure you know. As an owner of the 114060, I clearly have no bad feelings towards it. It's just such a ridiculous nickname, I couldn't resist.

DCheeta....it's not offensive at all !! Given all of the love/hate stuff associated with Rolex, I think that the nicknames given to Rolex models keeps it fun and unique to the brand!!! Fat Boy fits right in there !!

Thanks H! I did an overlay in Photoshop and the dial markers on both models are identical in size. As is the width of the bezel insert, which some people have wondered about.

Thanks for the comparison photos. It’s hard to tell the difference between the two. The new one is still too chunky for my liking. I think they should have slimmed everything down to the 5 digit dimensions. I get it though, no backwards evolution.

At first glance, it was the 114060 in your picture that looked bigger to me!

41mm does look slightly bigger though compensated by the slightly thinner lugs
