Does anyone search the forum before starting the same threads over & over? This thread was just created on 10/15 asking the same exact question.

I'm guessing gold expands/contracts much more wildly in temperature than does SS.

I definitely use 1 index finger for SS bracelets.

Cannot stand the watch sliding around on my wrist, it drives me insane, but equally not so tight that I cut off the blood circulation to my fingers.

Slightly loose ... I guess that’s about a pinky gap

Depends on the watch. DSSD - quite snug. All others, the pinky thing.

I do not like a watch-tourniquet choking off the bloodflow to my hand, I wear mine loose enough to just slip over my wrist bone. I can get my middle finger under it up to the second joint.

Slightly loose, no real jingle jangle, but no squeeze either

Nostalgia. Growing up seeing people and in the movies wear their gold watch loosely on their wrist, looked really cool to me.

30 year Rolex bracelet wearer... (it is called a bracelet, and most people wear bracelets loose...)

I wear my heavy watches (> 200g) tight. The lighter ones are worn slightly lose (pinky between clasp and wrist.
