Sold my OP39 rhodium dial. More of a ladies watch size by today’s standards. The DJ41 is a better bet now in 41mm

OP 39 White, the dial color is nicer than the DJ (more eggshell than white). The "round" bezel of the OP looks nicer than the flat bezel of the DJ

Pretty ridiculous sentiment that 39mm is a ladies size

The 39mm has become the new 36mm. Even the the new OP is 41mm, everyone said the sub would never change but it did with thinner lugs like the original. I am waiting for explorer one to become 41mm and will buy that. It is inevitable, it was 36mm then 39mm and soon to be 41mm.

OP39 by a mile.

It's pure class. Clean, symmetric dial. The domed bezel is perfect. The size and proportions are perfection. The dial is incredible, not a flat dull color but something with a life and personality of its own, shifting from white to egg-white to a silvery sheen in different lights. Best dial Rolex has made in a long time. Paired with a brushed oyster, I think it looks incredible. Possibly even the best white dial watch among modern/recent releases.

Not to mention, it's very hard to find. Only 2 years of production. Whereas the DJ will always be available with a white dial option. If you pass on the OP, it might not be waiting for you later... just learn from anyone who passed on it (and suffered the subsequent remorse! --myself included!) before it got discontinued.

All Rolex are good and it is all subjective. However, I agree with you on the DJ 41. Good choice. DJ heritage in a modern size.
