I owned a 6263 Big Red Daytona for awhile, and I agree this variant is stunning.

In other words it's Paul Newman's Daytona but it's NOT a Paul Newman Daytona.

I have to say that I much prefer this watch to the earlier ones.

I dont think it will reach anywhere near the numbers of the first watch but it will probably fetch a few million at least. I assume that the buyer of the first watch will want this one to complete their Newman collection and will bid hard for it.

I wonder how much Newman's Nike sneakers would fetch at auction?

My guess it sells around 1-1.5m. It’s not comparable to the PN PN. It’s just an average big red owned by a famous guy.

But the PN PN was originally just an average Daytona owned by a famous guy. It became the PN only after he owned it. Will this become known as the PN II?

This will be interesting....

The PN PN was THE Paul Newman Daytona. I highly doubt this big red will be more than what I described. That said; who knows where it will end up? Personally I would value it lower than the Brando GMT that sold for just under 2m.

I tend to agree, but all you need is a bidding war between two determined parties for things to go silly...
