Are you talking about an even swap? I own both. The SkyD Blue would be my choice. If you have to add money then it depends on how much you need to add. If it’s a straight swap deal then the SKyD Blue is the clear choice as it has a much higher premium. You could trade and if you don’t like the SkyD you could sell it and rebuy a hulk and pocket $5k+

I would easily do the trade...
SD is a far superior watch!

Though I may be biased because i HATE the Hulk...

The Hulk is such a beautiful watch. You will miss it.
I smile Everytime I look at it on my wrist.
I have a white Skydweller and feel same way whenever i put it on. Blue skydweller is very nice but I would keep my hulk if I were in your shoes.
It’s not about the watch...it’s about how you feel about the watch.

Very split opinions! I guess much will depend why you would want to make the swap - for 'value' reasons or horological ones?

I bought a Sky Dweller because of it's complexity and fairly bulletproof design. I don't know of many daily wear annual calendars that are so easy to adjust either. I think it's a bit of a milestone for Rolex.

So if you were making the swap for quality of movement - then it's a no brainer. :)

I like them both.
The hulk is discontinued and you might never get a chance to get another one again, at least for a decent price.
I’d say keep your hulk snd wait to add a SkyD later

You will not regret it.

Yeah but the Sky is ugly compared to the Hulk well actually compared to any other Rolex IMO. I guess too each his own. I personally wouldn't trade ANY Sub for a Sky.

Two completely different looks, you will have to do what you like best.

Would never trade a Hulk for a SkyD even in blue. Wait it out, but don't let go of the Hulk.

Totally personal preference. I myself would keep the hulk because 1. I like it better and 2. the SkyD is too big for me.

My question as well... is it an even swap or would you have to come out of pocket? If it’s a direct trade / swap then I say do it, if you have to come out of pocket then it depends how much you have to shell out.

I’d do it assuming you can pull off the larger case size. The sky dweller complication is great.

I had a Hulk and sold it, I just never wore it much. I have a blue Sky Dweller that I absolutely love, and it feels much more special to me than the Hulk. The SD would definitely be my choice.

Man that's a tough choice. The Hulk is special because green is such a rare colour on watches (especially compared to blue) but the Skydweller is an awesome piece for it's movement. Setting the time using the ring command bezel is a joy. If you're getting the Skydweller at retail, then go ahead. If you are getting it secondary then I would pass. There are better blue dial watches at that price.

I prefer the SkyD and passed on a H - too much green for me but it’s your call.

Blue dial Skydweller approx $6K AU more expensive than the Hulk on Grey market right now. I have both - very different watches. Blue Sd an easy everyday watch. Hulk needs right colour combo.

Putting resale value aside, and it's rarity or discontinuation of the model; Hulk is technically a green Sub. So a date only watch.

But a Sky is a worthy complication, although in a large case size, that's made by Rolex. It's probably gona still tick way after we're gone too.

At least while in the plane, traveling the world, it's gona be a usable timepiece for switching time zone and reminding what day and month as we get older

Never liked the Hulk. Never will. SkyD is the best Rolex I’ve ever owned.

It would be like swapping a Mercedes G Wagon for GLS. Same brand but so different and the only commonality is both are SUVs. I’d say hold on to the Hulk and drop in to your AD about once every 3 weeks and pine for the Sky Dweller. You just might get lucky.
