If you'd lose the bun, you would
have a very respectable repast with low/no carbs.

I've tried many diets, none of which was effective for long. And, forget 'fasting' - mostly water weight comes off only to return again.

But I've been on the No /Low carb diet and it really works. Adjust your intake of carbs, eliminate as much sugar as possible and try to be a little more mobile and you'll be surprised at the results. Two things:
-It takes quite a while to see results
-Again, sugar must be avoided when possible. I was shocked by seeing how many foods have sugar, fructose and glucose and while we cannot completely eliminate them, the less the better.

Obviously, there are nutritionists, Doctors, specialists, etc. that will advise a more established, medically approved approach: my diet is simply based on some advice passed along by a couple of people who had success, but what's to lose trying it.

YMMV but it's working for me.

Can I get you another, Dad?

My weekly splurge, just finished, a 5 oz. box of "Product of Ireland" Trader Joe's Gourmet Jelly Beans. 550 calories ... not too bad. But 110g of sugar! That's a quarter pound of sugar! In 45 minutes! But I'm watching Their Finest (2017) with Bill Nighy among others, so it's O.K.

Say, all this sugar makes me think. I've got ounces, calories, grams, pounds, and time all in one paragraph. When do you think time will go metric? A metric Rolex, anyone?

I haven't troughed a burger since 1985 but the idea of putting cheesy pasta on one is definitely a new one on me!
Maybe you could put a pizza on one too?

I guess you could call it a Mac and Cheeseburger.

Agree there is a lot going on here.
