Most people I know who started out with a fake eventually ended up with the real McCoy :-) could be like training wheels I guess

i dont know about actually going out and buying one, this is the first rolex ( aka cough fake rolex ) i have ever seen, so to be honest it does make me curious to go have a look at a real one and see why these watches have such a good name, i done all the googling about fakes and didnt really know how to tell them apart except for asking you guys thats why i posted
but thanks all the same everyone, has been a education thats for sure
maybe i will get one oneday and put my seiko to bed somewhere LOL

The Seiko is a great watch.

There's more to a Rolex then what you just see or feel. Yes there is the name Rolex on it. However, these are rugged watches. They've been designed to handle all sorts of environmental conditions. On top of that, they are a timeless design, much like a Porsche 911. You can still see the styling cues from the original submariner to the most recent version, much like with the first 911 to the current day ones. Beyond that, they look good in either casual clothes or a suit, or whatever. Durable, long lasting, simplistic elegance. That, and it's a Rolex. A crown for every achievement, so they say.

Like I always say: THE CYCLOPS TELLS IT ALL! The date is too small a real Rolex Cyclops would magnify it about 2.5 times.

I have a few Seiko's, I have two quarts Pilot and military Chrono's down to my first LCD A359, All gifts and I wear them every now and then :-) had them all for years Good memories from close friends and family
