Sure, they’re not going to be in the case, but we’re not talking about one of the truly impossible-to-get pieces here. You see plenty of people on this forum saying they got a sub with no purchase history; I think they are outliers, to be sure. But you basically don’t see anyone saying they got a SS Daytona/blue SkyD/BLRO with no purchase history. I would completely agree that a DJ36 would have limited to no influence if OP wanted one of those latter 3 pieces.
The question was what was the bundling power of a 36mm DJ. Based on my experience in a real live AD, my answer was, and still is, virtually none.

Yes, you see all kinds of things on this forum. People walking into stores and subs magically appearing. What really counts, though, is when you step foot inside the AD and talk to someone face to face.

If the OP, or you, has a different experience, my hat's off to both of you. He did ask for our opinions, however, and I gave him mine.

So it seems like definitely some mixed opinions but I appreciate everyones feedback. I think everyones experience is going to come in a small sample size so I didnt expect anyone one person to have the answer. But its good to get the wisdom of the group as a whole.

I have to say, quite refreshing.

If you really want both watches (DateJust and Sub ND), it's better tell your SA that you want to acquire both at the same time. I think you have more chances to get than buy one at a time.

Bundling guarantees nothing.
It's all a game of chance, AD 'customer preferences', and the occasional AD who really does try to get X, Y, or Z for you.
But bundling does make a good day for the Sales Associate.

The irony is the one’s who can afford and wear PM watches and offered steel watches, which are made for mass affordability, which they, the one’s for whom it’s made, never gets it.
