Azzurro blue or Wimbledon dial?
I have the wimby dial and on a jubilee, I can assure you the watch looks amazing in person. The slate dial blends in with the look of the watch and it just stuns. My stepfather has the azurro blue in 41mm. I can agree that in pictures it looks better. But on the wrist it’s second place. Don’t get me wrong it still looks fantastic too but the Wimbledon dial is very unique and you can only find it on 41mm in SS or TT. The azurro blue is available on several model lines and it will be less of a collectible IMO as well. I’d say try both on in person and you will see what I mean. If you look at photos of people wearing both (in photos of 5-10 feet away), the Wimbledon dial wins but you need it on jubilee. Close up shots are nice snd azurro wins hands down but no one will ever experience the watch that way.

For some reason the shiny Romans remind me of playing with that sticky letraset when I was a kid - and it makes me think Rolex have modded a watch with that!
Get the one you like the most though. Changing dial will invalidate any warranty and make watch a franken in most peoples eyes won't it? |

I've always had a soft spot for the Wimbledon, so that's my pick.
The blue is awfully nice, though, as well. Pretty close to a toss up for me. |

I really love Rolex blue dial watches. And then someone made a comment about not getting around the 9 o’clock baton?? Well, thanks for pointing that out, I think this is one of the best looking watches and I love that baton feature! Awesome!!

My understanding is it won’t invalidate the warranty as dial colour isn’t stated on the warranty card, it’s a genuine dial going in so with no record of the original dial it can’t be classed as a franken, I will keep the current white stick dial so can be put back in again at any time.

I love Azzurro in photos. The dial is likely a bit too light (for me) to live with. I had a similar blue dial -- photo attached -- and loved it for about a week. Then it just seemed too delicate a blue, as vibrant as it was throughout the day and under different lighting conditions. So I turned it in. The Wimbledon is my favorite DJ, warts and all! :)

Both are nice, but I would go for Azzurro blue.
