Personal opinion. Rolex knows it has a very diverse group of fans. That is why you see so many very strong opinions every time a thread like this comes up about whatever watch you want.

I am a fan of both but the Hulk wins every time for me. I would still love a Kermit though. Only because I love green.

The difference for me is the Hulk is a unique reference, the kermit is now not. The magic of the hulk is the dial. Its spectacular. I also like the Maxi case. The Kermit's trick of a different color (unchanged from the Hulk, mind you) bezel on a black sub is a bit of a wash IMO.

Either way, can't go wrong with either frankly. But the Hulk will always be the special one to me.

Anyone know if the the ceramic kermit appears smaller on wrist than the all black versions because the bezel breaks up the colors?

Never liked the Hulk, even when it was readily available, too much green for my liking.

Was always a fan of the original Kermit and would love to be able to pick up new one in future, hopefully from my AD so will be a while..

Lugs are basically the same really, new bracelet and clasp not cool in my opinion. They should’ve kept it at 40mm

I owned the Hulk for 9 years and wore it pretty much every day. I loved it! With that said I have owned the new Kermit for a month and a half and man is it an awesome watch. Definitely more versatile than the Hulk. Sometimes I do miss the green dial but the new lug shape makes the watch so much more refined on the wrist. Also, the contrast between the black and green it fantastic!

Question, if you could own both, would you? I feel like I could never let the Hulk go, so it will either be add or live in peace with my Hulk (which I am more than willing to do!).

The Hulk in a funny way was the only good 6-digit Sub, because though it still had the ugly lugs, it leaned into them and its sort of over-the-top design. It wasn't for me, but I could appreciate it.

The green dial was nice, but any cost was worth losing the chubby lugs.

Just being honest I bought my Hulk in 2011 with a 25% discount off msrp. I sold it and picked up the Kermit at msrp with the profits.

I couldn’t justify keeping both when essentially selling the Hulk bought me a free Kermit which in my opinion is the nicer watch.

I think the sunburst dial on the Hulk is what makes it....it’s a Chameleon....looks black in low light and is an amazing green in sunlight. Also the only green sunburst dial on a sub thus far and perhaps ever which is cool. Just my 2 cents

Funny the Hulk only got popular when it was available and hard to get. The Hulk falls under the Instagram Hype category when it comes to a lot of non watch guys wanting the watch.

For me the New Kermit ticks all the boxes. Classic 50th Anniversary style, solid bracelet, ceramic bezel and new movement.

new movement and thinner lugs. that is the only argument imo that can be made.

Much prefer the sunburst dial on the hulk, truly incredible in the sun. I think it can be a bit bright for most people's tastes

I guess people can't make a decision for themselves. You like one more than the other, go with that one if you've got the choice.

The new Kermit is probably best suited for those that liked the look of the 5-digit Kermit but prefer the new dimensions/upgrades of the current Sub. Personally, I thought the green sunburst dial was the best feature of the Hulk.

i was mistaken for wearing the new watch while wearing the hulk at least 5 times in the last few months .

The green sunburst is special.

I’d say those who have the new Cermit, wanted the hulk very badly 🖖

Hulk is a nice watch, just too green for me. I like the contrast of black dial and green bezel
Happy New Year!

I have owned the hulk 2 times. I had a love hate relationship. When the light hit the sunburst wow. But most the time I found the watch to plain and cartoonish for my taste. I might go to the Kermit soon.

You would be incorrect in saying this.

I had the Hulk for years but barely wore it. It looks good in small doses, but I never picked it to wear. I now have the Cermit and love it, much more than I did the Hulk. I think the Hulk is just too much of a good thing, just like the old Smurf. Much prefer the new version of that as well.

At the end of the day, you need to ask yourself do you want to wear a green watch, or a really green watch.

I personally don’t want any green on my watch.

But other people like it?!

The two types of green were a bit too much and the lugs were a bit fat. Apparently.

Both cannot be seen when strapped on the wrist.
Must be the dial color, black with green bezel looks better than two different shades of green
