If you're happy with it, that's all that matters. Enjoy the new purchase.

I've done something similar. I bought a JLC Reserve de Marche, but a few days later, I fell in love with the MUT Perpetual Calendar. I ended up buying the Perpetual Calendar from the boutique and returning the Reserve de Marche at my AD. I was lucky they took it back for full store credit after wearing it for a day or two. I guess the lesson is just to go for the one you actually want, as long as you can afford it.

Anyway, you made a great choice. If you just kept the 116500, you'd always just have that itch for the 116519. I have the latter, and it's my favorite of all of Rolex's current offerings. Congrats!

Nah man. You did good.
No point in keeping something if your heart isn’t into it.

It was a beauty, but it didn't sing to me.

I have both, and the 116519 is my preferred Daytona by far! You made the right decision if it’s the watch that tickles your fancy that much more! And it certainly sounds like that’s the case. So enjoy your new beauty and don’t let fomo takeover!

Buy what you like. If you acquire watches because of their hype, you will end up selling them... In three days. :) That WG is fantastic in my opinion and if it sang to you, then you did the right thing.

It's just money. You can replace the Daytona 116500 if you really want to. It's not like you blew off a friend or put a dog to sleep. You get what you like and pay what it costs and if you can't undo it you don't look back on it.

I myself would definitely do that transaction in a heartbeat! The white SS Daytona doesn't sing to me either.

For the watch itself I prefer the WG version. But it all comes down to if you prefer a bracelet or OF. That's a tough one. Guess you could add a WB bracelet down the road but that would be big bucks.
