Congrats! I love the jubilee and frankly every one I’ve seen fitted with an oyster the end link never looks like it fits correctly. I’d say give the jubilee a chance!

Huge congratulations!! A total knock out of a watch.IMHO the Pepsi is tailor made for the Jubilee. It completed the watch.

If you have other watches with Oyster, allow yourself to enjoy this watch with the Jubilee.
The Jubilee is, hands down, the most comfortable bracelet I’ve ever worn, and I have plenty of both!
And, I have a mint ‘17 Batman, full set . If you really want the Oyster on a modern large GMT, I’d be happy to trade you for this new piece you’ve picked up!
Never wore the Batman, but I am wearing my Batgirl (126710-BLNR) all the time. Love the Jubilee. Different strokes for different folks!
(I’m serious about that trade, too...!!). PM me if you want to chat...

Thanks for all the well wishes and the show of love for the Jubilee.

I do understand where you guys are coming from, it does look better in the flesh than in pics with the Jubilee and wears more comfortable but for me, the Pepsi will always be a tool watch (not that it will ever see more than a desk nowadays) and for 'me', it should be on an oyster.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the Jubilee, my wife has a TT DJ ladies on Jubilee which I think looks great but I just don't gel with the Jubilee in my own collection, which for the Rolex part is all Oyster and Oysterflex.

I asked the AD for the price for a 97200 with glidelock and was rather shocked at the price, for the time being I may just take off the bracelet from my sub and put it onto the Pepsi. You never know, I may just come round to the idea of a Jubilee...

Whichever way, all you out there lucky enough to have one, it's a great reference on either bracelet. Enjoy!

And for those who are waiting.... It's worth the wait!!!

Fair enough... BUT... What about a Batman? Which is the original image in your opinion as it was released with both straps?

You cannot compare the history of the Rolex Datejust with its fluted bezel and jubilee, with a GMT Master ll BLNR. The Datejust is the best-selling Rolex in the world, and the Datejust is the image of Rolex.

In tennis and Formula 1, for example, the image of Rolex is the fluted bezel of the Datejust.

The BLRN does not matter which bracelet is used, but make sure it is the one the watch comes with from the factory. That is my humble opinion.

I think you may have mis-understood my reply to your post. At no point did I ask to compare a Datejust with its Fluted bezel and Jubilee to a GMT Master II BLNR...

All I asked was that the BLNR had been released with both PCL oyster and then a Jubilee, which one did you see as the original?

No one at arms length, even Rolex themselves, would be able to distinguish whether the BLNR was wearing the original Oyster or Jubilee, or had been swapped.

At the end of the day, we are all different and have different tastes. You prefer to do what Rolex envisaged and I prefer to do my own thing.

For a bit of fun, check this out, something definitely not Rolex Original Image.

I thought a typical oyster didn't fit this watch? Or was I mistaken?

Congrats! The jubilee is more comfortable than the oyster in my opinion. Give it a shot.
