I've enjoyed your contributions and feel I've learned some thing from you, thanks.

I wonder if a DJII might prove to be a good long term collector's piece you know. I think it has 2 dimensions that are relatively rare in combination, and have either been discontinued or rumoured to be discontinued in the foreseeable future.

Would love to see a good photo of this piece, on either bracelet and ideally side by side, but I'd be most curious to see it on a Jubilee.

Your point about the bracelet size vs lugs/case was noted, I would be interested to see if the Wimbledon dial which has quite a lot going on would balance things out with the slimmer Jubilee.

I'm finding DJs actually more fun than sports references at the moment.

The many configurations provide an opportunity to make it yours, which in turn makes it more fun to share with others.

And nobody has mentioned the tedious grey market. I consider that a bonus.

You can get the watch exactly how you want it, or indeed obtain more than one - which I may do - enjoy it in good health with your family and friends, then ultimately hand it down to the next generation.

To me this is what it's all about.

I was informed by my AD yesterday that ALL stainless steel Datejust 41s are now allocated pieces. For the time being the two-tones can still be ordered but who knows for how long. Crazy times.

Agree with your comments about all the options. It's actually GETTING the watch that's the hard part. Miss the old days when I could walk in and try a bunch of different configurations and colors.

If I pick up a new DJ41 I will certainly post some comparison shots vs my DJII. Could wind up keeping both, who knows.

Yes please....

By the way I meant to say '.....Wimbledon Dial DJII could be a good collector's piece...'

I am thinking I might try for this myself. Not sure where to look as I am based in Italy... wary of online.
