In the 80s and 90s I used wear field watches with alarms. I no longer have my Eddie Bauer field watch, because it died. I replaced it with this LLBean field watch (which is a Hamilton) and it's still alive and ticking.

Sadly my first good watch was stolen from my brother’s house during a break-in. It was a Breitling Colt, I bought it for $600 in 1999 and had it for about 15 years before it was purloined.
