It definitely looks like it's the same case as mine. Plus it has the Panerai quick strap change system. I feel like a sucker!!!

I wonder if it is just the outer sandblasted finish that's the same or if the case is made in the same way as well. Because otherwise it makes no sense that it costs 6k€ more. That would mean they're made of the same material and have the same movement with some minor differences.

Even if I've had two Panerai representatives say that the 1279 is also made of DMLS Titanium, I've gotten the impression that they aren't 100% sure.

Aaron Bespoke strap. Love it. He makes awesome customs straps. Recommended actually by the Panerai boutique.
