Man Urwerk definitely qualifies for me too. I’ve unfortunately never had one on my wrist but they are so damn cool.

Too many great watches and not enough budget The long waitlist also does not help. While waiting, ended up committing to too many watches and may end up picking too many in 2023 so better stop now (if I can) |

I think I’ve said this here before, but it took several years from first trying on the 103 and some others to finally pulling the trigger. That and a reasonable amount of exposure via another platform where Urwerk is more prevalent. But, first step you do need to see some in the metal.

I'd like to get AP RO perp, preferably the new 26574TI.OO.1220TI.01, it would be my halo watch. Tbh I'd be happy with almost any of the 41mm perps other than pink or yellow gold. I'm blessed to be able to afford these things but as we all know we live in this distorted world where I can't get someone to take my $80k for one. I decided long ago not to chase things at over msrp so it won't happen. I do love it tho.

Blancpain FF Blue in Titanium at the moment. A lot of bang for buck and can be had for around 10k grey.

Id certainly say Czapek. Not sure it qualifies as there is a 1 year+ list the Antarctique now but they make other gems like the 5HZ integrated Faubourg de Cracovie.

I'm excited about the Urban Jurgensen GMT One. I don't have a true GMT watch and I like the sport / steel / integrated bracelet watches. It's not going to happen anytime soon because I'm out of watch $$$, but that's the one I keep looking at. To be fair, I do not know how readily available it is.

I'm lucky to have almost everything that turns me on.
The next target would be a Grönefeld 1941 Remontoire. To see the opportunities to be on the list or aftermarket, and whether to sacrifice a watch or not... You should never be in a hurry, which is my case.

Lately I've been wearing the SUF 180 Salmon dial from Sarpaneva and it has a "je ne sais quoi" that makes my heart beat faster.
I have a couple Rolex, Breitling and IWC but this little finnish watch keeps calling my wrist. I think its a field watch with a "formal" color dial that makes it very good allrounder. |
