Did you have to change the straps? I understood that the default size is E & F.
You literally cannot go wrong with either. YG just edged the WG for me.

The AD did a lot of trial and error since my wrists aren't that wide (6.5''). Personally I liked it very snug.

And correct, the default is F on the 12 side and E on the 6 side.

Yes, the PM Daytona’s are a great watch as well but no need to trash a watch that is probably the most sought after watch besides the Platona….
Please outline where I trash the SS Daytona? It's an amazing watch and I will probably get one at some point but aesthetically for me this one trumps it.

Am I upset? Believe me I am far from upset. You do realise I could probably sell this and get a SS Daytona if I wanted to right? Please take your passive aggression somewhere else. I have stated a million times this is all IMO. Not everyone has to have the same taste and want an SS Daytona. Thats what makes this hobby interesting right?

Well, the steel Daytona is anything but dull. But you got yourself a heck of a great watch there! Congrats

Great pick up. Just received my WG, but the YG with black dial/red accents (PN?) was a VERY close second.

Not sure why everyone thinks you are trashing the SS. I think you just meant that the color combos for PM are pretty unique...not just black/white, black/black.

The greatest modern Daytona. All IMO of course.

Enjoy!

I bet if you got the white one, this thread would be the exact same with a different pic.

I guess when you call the most sought after SS Daytona “Dull” some might take that as “trashing” IMO
Yes is the price of the 116500LN on the second hand market out of control, of course it is, however it is still an amazing watch.
Yes I do realize you could sell your PM and get the LN.
Have a good day and enjoy this hobby!

Exactly! It's just how I would say a steel and black sub is more dull than a gold and blue sub to me. However, I prefer the dull steel sub and that's not a bad thing.

Congrats and enjoy on the WG! It was what initially made me fall in love with the Oysterflex to begin with.

Yet I'm willing to pay up to a limit of double rrp for a SS daytona in this current market. So why haven't I sold this to the grey dealers and picked up a SS? Riddle me that. You do realise people of this world have different tastes right? Or are you surprised there are actually other models?

I would also call a steel black sub dull compared to a gold sunburst blue sub. I still however prefer a steel black sub and there is nothing wrong with that.
Wish you all the best on your collecting journey

Glad you like your watch OP!

Have to agree, the PM Daytonas are far more vibrant and much more interesting to me than the SS variants

Totally agree with the OP

There is absolutely no comparison

PM OYSTERFLEX 30k daytona, by a mile and a half

Steel daytona at 25k, is just nonsens

Nice watch but personally I’d rather a SS Daytona with the full bracelet for less than half the price of that.

Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion. And mine is that oysterflex just looks cheaper, and not as refined as a bracelet.

But hey, I love my gshocks too!

Enjoy your watch!

Congrats! I love the contrast of the yellow gold, sunburst dial and ceramic bezel. I don’t have the exact same watch but it’s YG cousin says hello!

Hahaha. I must confess I did have a feeling I may ruffle some SS Daytona fans feathers.

Absolutely! This is what makes the hobby so interesting. I had set my eyes on an aquanaut for a very long time but realistically, that is not happening. Cheapening the look compared to a full PM bracelet was not necessarily a bad thing for me. All I can say is give it a shot, try it on and you never know!

Beautiful combination.

I like how the PM Daytona case differs from the SS, it looks more substantial
Enjoy it

My favorite daytonas ranked are: platona, full yellow gold with the green dial, then yours. Major congrats, I love this combo
