Mine isn’t the absolute “most” intricate dial, but as a left-field accesible watch that has some interesting history (genta/daniel roth) allied to a very nice dial I am going to throw this into the mix. Full disclosure - I have one in my collection

My favorite from what I haven't owned:

From watches I own/owned, toss up between the 5270P salmon and meteorite daytona, honorable mention to my old olive rg presi.

The perfect watch and the perfect dial. It's so hard to capture the beauty of this dial in a photograph... certainly not with the camera gear that I have.

In person, I am always blown away by the dial and love looking at it, a pure visual delight in all aspects of its elemental construction. Perfect harmony with the bracelet, perfect case, and the sheer elegance of the entire sum of all its parts. At first glance may not look intricate, but the more you look the more you appreciate the complex paradox of achieving perfection at the surface of simplicity.

Even if there are some unpleasant facets to our hobby, it's discoveries like this that make the hobby fun and worthwhile. Hope everyone here finds something similar that makes them smile.

Breguet Double Tourbillon

I saw one in person and just stared at it like Clark Griswold imagining a new swimming pool.

For me it was the Bluesy. Before that, the Yacht-Master platinum dial.

This is the most stunning dial IMHO. Perfect balance between minimalism and intricacy. Brilliant design. My grail watch.

Another favorite of mine are skeletal watches like this Chronoswiss Grand Opus which I happen to be selling on Chrono24 right now in case anyone's interested.

My humble contribution. Produced in the late 90s. This dial has so much depth and play, sometimes looking totally white, sometimes looking like this, often looking somewhere in between

This is my favourite. The rainbow markers are not overwhelmed by the modern paved dials.

An older gentleman wore a watch that was quite captivating to the clinic a while back. It was well worn but aged gracefully. Intricate as the dial was a vignette fading towards the edge of the dial, and the hour markers were masterfully set.

Not the exact watch but I believe to be the same model

Phillips recently sold a similar rainbow-dial DD (with a factory rainbow bezel - it brought about $900K, iirc), and it also had this unusual, horizontally-brushed dial. I wonder if they only used this horizontal brushing on DD dials with rainbow markers?
