A relationship of over 25 years - like a happy marriage.

That’s what I love about the brand; you can really bond with the timepiece.

Congratulations

Still going strong after 55 years and still getting 40% of my wrist time.

My 1999 16200, recently back from RSC for a tune up!
My go-to watch if I am worried about being a bit less flashy in questionable areas

Wow, amazing! Looks damn good! I was nowhere near finishing school when your GMT was new! That puts it into perspective for me! Just goes to show how tough Rolexes are and can stand up to decades of use so well!

Thank you! The case is as sharp as can be expected after so many years of daily wear...it´s been serviced regularly but never polished! I like it that way...

Awesome!! My 16613lb isn’t as old or been owned by me as long as your 5 digit sub but it’s on my wrist 24/7. Its a constant friend that’s there through all of my daily activities.
Thank you! It's always good to hear that someone actually wears their Sub every day, as it was made to be in Geneva! Subs are damn tough watches, and I'm quite sure mine will outlive me no problem!

Thank you! Yes, I think you can indeed bond with a Rolex. Over the years I've nearly pulled the trigger on all sorts of watches, not all Rolex! Most recently a Speedmaster, hesalite model. But then I look down at the faithful old Sub on my wrist, smile at it and just politely back off! That might sound silly, but there it is!

Hasn't left my wrist since I got it serviced early last year. I've had it for about 32 years now.

Boilersuit on and logging yesterday, knew when it was time for teabreak! My mate was pissing himself laughing when he realised that I was wearing it and we'd been running chainsaws and sledgehammer together for 5 days. Its only a watch...and it's just part of me now.

I wear all my watches but I tend to gravitate towards the Deep Blue more than the others…

Either my 116660 or 214270, I have always worn all my watches, never really understood the joy of ownership if they are in the safe.

I've had the Sub for five years. Got the OP41 last year. Currently both see about 50/50% wrist time. I have two others, but don't wear them as much.

So many beautiful watches! I've worn this one pretty much daily for about 2 years since I bought it.

This is what you’re most likely to find me daily-wearing recently. The whole story of meteorites’ Widmanstätten patterns has always fascinated me, even as a kid.

Apparently the only way this pattern occurs is:

1) Heave a blob of liquid-molten nickel/iron into
2) a nearly perfect vacuum*,
3) at zero gravity and
4) at a temperature near absolute zero, and then simply
5) let it cool off very, VERY slowly, for
6) a few million (!!) years.
.
* - Idk if the vacuum is actually necessary, because … how could anyone test that? I suspect it’s not.

D’oh! I’m an idiot.
Of course the vacuum is necessary, otherwise it would cool by convection.
