Pretty unprecedented level of detail and bang on the money here.

What next Frank?

Announce new Milgauss.

I think Rolex has made it's mark with the Deepsea and I think as far as depths and heights, it's accomplished all that's reasonable. Omega is into fads and dumping out watches without serious thought for longevity. Next year I'm sure they'll redesign each one and release no less than five LEs.....meanwhile just about anyone can agree the original Planet Ocean was the best version to date. That's why Rolex doesn't mess with success or funky trends.
Well I’m eating crow and choking on this post and worst, immediately called my AD to try and get one asap.

The op was dead on, which can only mean Rolex had this watch and postponed it’s release, I would assume.

Methinks Frank is in deep isolation at a subterranean vault in Geneva HQ courtesy of the Rolex security force…

Have to agree Brian most of these deep depth ratings are a bit of a joke.As they will never be used to the max by man or even superman in water. The deepest dive by man just using scuba was about 310m this was a very carefully planned dive with plenty of backup.Today they make these watches because they can although a technical achievement some buy these watches as a bit of a brag factor mine is bigger than yours and can go deeper.
