I think of my collection, and I like each piece, since my first one at 15 yo, stolen at my school…. but many more after many years …

Yellow gold DD with champagne dial. My uncle is a big Italian guy and when I was a kid, he had one and I was fascinated by it whenever he'd visit.

If I hear "Rolex" I think Daytona and then the 24 Hours of Daytona.

If I see a Rolex I wonder what year and reference and if the person is a WIS or just bought the name...

It’s just a nice watch, always has been, and nothing more.

Something with enduring style and dependability that, at a glance, can make us feel like those qualities are our own.

Has this word changed its meaning or does is it still mean the same?

Does who's wearing it or talking about it change what it represents or does Rolex transcend all context?

Just a few questions to guide but please ask and answer your own, thanks

Luxury.

To most people, Rolex is one of the top tier brands. The pinnacle of luxury.

Hmm, probably the first thing that comes to mind is over priced in present times, hype, jewelry item. As a brand the first watch that comes to mind is the date just. Iconic watch.

Quality time spent with my dad- whether together or on the phone - talking about watches/ Rolex. I hope I can do the same thing with my kids.
