For Day date, YG for me. Of course, entirely subjective and dependent on skin tone and dial color.

all the good tones are great on DD

my first one was YG, It should be.

But the rose gold is quite something. you have to have all , like me, there is a moment each is better than the other, but they are all amazing!

Agreed! If/when I get a DD it'll be yellow gold for the pop.

RG on the presidential bracelet is incredible. Not a YG fan.

Personally don’t like Everose at all. I’d only consider RG on a very pretty dress watch like a Breguet enamel dial.

I’d go WG myself because it’s inconspicuous. I wouldn’t want the attention.

Platinum would be preferred but it’s terribly expensive for me. Sometimes double the cost of WG option.

Yellow gold is generally the most attractive to me but I wouldn’t wear it. Would be seen as tacky generally. Only elderly people can pull off YG or those trying to seek attention. The only thing YG attracts is thieves. Nobody else will think it’s cool or interesting.

It’s the same with cars. I’ve had flashy cars and low key cars. The flashy ones got tons of attention, negative attention. The classy ones got lots of good compliments from good people, and women love it!

All depends on personal taste and goals and what you can afford.

Wearing just for myself with no other considerations I’d have a YG DD40 with like an Eisenkiesel or fun dial. Wearing out in public I’d want a platinum with ice blue dial or Eisenkiesel. No diamonds, standard indices.

WG works if can’t afford or get platinum. Same effect.

I’m a fan Of pure gold. 18k gold is just an alloy and has a paler more yellow look than real gold. I’m a bit of a stickler when it comes to this stuff. What you “see” when you look at 18k yellow gold is actually nickel and copper and other metals to look that shade of yellow. The true color of the gold is entirely lost in the alloy. That’s why both white gold and yellow gold have the same amount of pure gold in them and look totally different.

Real gold looks more like red gold, not rose gold.

Check out some photos of 24k gold vs 18k gold online to see the difference. Real gold has a very visceral and primal look to it. Like blood of universe type stuff. I’m a fan of 24k gold, not so much 18k.

Platinum is 95% platinum and 5% platin family metals so it’s all precious metal and “more” pure. So you’re seeing the actual platinum metal and touching actual platinum when wearing it. So that’s a feather in platinum’s hat.
Deserves a thumbs up

It was only 2017 that it became apparent with gravitational wave measurements just how extreme things need to get to efficiently make gold and other PMs.

https://earthsky.org/space/how-the-u...-creates-gold/

When you're holding pure gold you are looking at stuff born of one of the most violent events in the universe.

Explains why the alchemists never managed to make any.

Try them a grey dealer then decide, or get one of each. They are all beautiful. They are my favorite 3 watches in my collection.

Really? Let's see... January 1947 was 75 years ago. My parents were married in January 1947, and my father gifted my mother a rose gold watch before their wedding.

May 1986 was 36 years ago. My husband and I were married in May 1986, and I wore my mother's rose gold watch (which I had inherited when she died), as my "something old."

May 2021 was a year ago. My husband gave me a TT Everose Lady Datejust for our anniversary. We considered it to be our 40th anniversary because our wedding day was our 5th anniversary of when we started "going together."

So, yeah, rose gold will still be in fashion 10-20 years from now.

This! On my skin, rose blends in and that may be what you want. Yellow pops. I prefer the contrast of yellow. Rose is a trend right now but yellow is making a comeback. I just think you should base it on how it looks on your wrist versus what others may think. Both are beautiful.

I'd agree with this as well. I had a rose gold Vacheron, and it was a beautiful tone of rose gold, much more subdued than Rolex. But ultimately, different tones of gold look better on different skin tones.

It very much depends on skin tone, rose doesn't pop on my wrist the way yellow does.

I would not wear a watch with a YG or RG bracelet enough. So neither for me.

But I have always wanted a full platinum watch and among those the DD is more affordable than most.
