This. The full size would wear better vs the 58 if this is the case. I will know when the AD opens I guess.

Just to add, assuming 14.6mm thickness, the dimensions would be almost identical to the Omega PO 39.5mm. Personally I'm not a fan of that model because of the hockey puck effect. I'll reserve full judgment until I see one of these in person or at least a video review, but I think the dimensions are kind of a miss on this.

I can't help but wonder if they couldn't have reduced thickness to around 14mm. Even if they had to reduce WR to 100M. Diameter 40mm and thickness 14mm wouldn't be too bad.

For some "thickness" perspective

At 14.6mm thick its 1mm thicker than a 16600 Sea Dweller, but it has a raised and domed crystal which (if my BB58 is anything to go by) probably accounts for about 3mm of that 14.6mm, meaning the mid case + case back is still slightly thinner than the 16600 mid case and case back and with what looks like a flatter caseback.

My BB58 at 39mm wears almost identically to my 16600 in terms of overall surface area on the wrist so I'd imagine this will do the same, and I've never heard anyone refer to the 16600 having the "hockey puck" look.

All will come clear in the metal, so to speak, but I don't think it will be that bad at all.

I think it looks great in a 1655 kinda way, although as others have said, it's a tad thick. Plus I'm not huge on fauxtina either.

That said, it's one of the better 'House of Wilsdorf' releases this year.

The Tudor Black Bay Pro

People complaining about the thickness are forgetting that Tudor Black bay models utilize a domed sapphire crystal. This, including the case back will bear the majority of the “thickness”. Not bad considering the MT 5652 is significantly thicker than the Rolex 3285.

Also, the bracelet of the Tudor Steve McQueen will include the T- fit system found in the black bay 58 bronze!

I cannot wait to see this one in person!

Where are y’all seeing 14.6 mm thickness? It’s a 39mm watch with what looks like the BB58 case which is 11.9 mm thick.

Dimensions are available from various watch news media like Hodinkee and ABlogToWatch.

Appears to have a taller caseback than the flat back of the standard 58

Whew. Surprised the p01 is still available, this blows it out of the water. By far the best Rolor/Tudex release this year.

Anything above 13.5 mm in thickness is a deal killer. Why does tudor insist on thick watches? Bloody hell.
