I love the Black Bay pro. I think it’s the nicest watch from the Rolex Tudor 2022 releases. I was going to wait before I asked my AD for one.

Picked up a watch for the wife today and he surprised me with one.

Love the hybrid plastic strap. Feels nice. My new daily driver.

Haven’t seen it in person, but based on pictures likely a bit too thick for my taste

Looks like the BB58 is still the king of this knight's castle.

I love the looks of the Pro, but fear it will look ridiculous on me. I do have the black BB58, and love the proportions on my 6.5 inch wrist. It’s perfect.

Just tried the Rubber Strap version on today at my local AD, as I am first on their list for a bracelet version. They haven’t got one in yet, but I was getting worried by all of the negative comments saying it is too thick / like a hockey puck and will look stupid and wear top heavy. After having tried it on, I can honestly say in my opinion those comments are absolute humbug.

It didn’t look or feel too thick on my wrist, I think some of the thickness that is in the case back and domed crystal makes it wear better than the overall measurement would suggest. The rubber strap is nice, but I will wait for the bracelet version with that great adjustable on the fly clasp and have some fun with aftermarket straps. I’m hoping Vanguard or Rubber B bring one out soon. AD hopes mine will come in over the next couple of weeks and I can’t wait!

I tried it on the nato. So many good things about the watch but the thickness did feel out of proportion and was a dealbreaker for me. The regular BB GMT actually feels a bit thinner because of the bigger case diameter. As a side note, I liked the root beer BB S&G GMT a lot more than I expected. The colors work so well with the vintage aesthetic. They are both thick watches but nothing crazy. I guess it comes down to your wrist size and what you’re used to wearing. I agree that the BB58 is king for Tudor when it comes to mass appeal.

The 16600 Sea Dweller is a much thicker watch that a14060 Sub, but it wears just fine on my average wrist. I don’t this this new Tudor will be an issue, it just feels like nitpicking and an excuse to bash Tudor for arguably again upstaging the mothership this year.

I'll sound like a broken record here by saying the pictures to not reflect how it looks in reality. Tried it on today and am already man mathing its purchase bc of how well it fit my 7 inch wrist. I have speedmaster and that's probably as big dimension wise i like when wearing a watch and this ones height didn't put me outside of my comfort zone. The markers give a nice 3 dimensional look to the dial and the yellow is more subdued than anything bright.

Just watched this, and also read the comments of a lot of folks, who have had the opportunity to try it on. All, but one person, said the thickness is a nonissue. The next time I spend the day in SF, I will try it on, at my AD. I am anxious to see how it feels, compared to my BB58, on my 6 1/2 inch wrist. Here is how my BB58 looks:

Personally, I think Tudor have learnt to do some playing around with case shape (ever so slightly) to give the impression of a much more thinner wearing watch. I suspect the domed crystal is also factored into the height of the piece.

I'll let a few pictures do the talking.

Unfortunately ... NO.

The only "voodoo magic" that you are experiencing is that you have it on a leather strap (straps always make a watch wear smaller). Put that thing on a bracelet and it will feel like you have a hockey puck on your wrist.

As cool as the watch is ... it is too thick.

The Seadweller 16600 is 39.5 - 14.8 . So this BB Pro is comparable. The difference might be weight disruption. Still the Pros 14.6 is a thick case. Love my BB 58. This one needs to be seen and tried on to make a judgment call.

Teddy Baldassarre asks Tudor's head designer about the Black Bay Pro's thickness, expressing common gripes, and he responds, "I'm doing the best with the movement I have." It sounds like Tudor didn't even consider engineering a new movement for the Black Bay Pro. https://youtu.be/AdcNDKN4X8w?t=320

I’m not sure why so many wrist shots of this are taken with people holding there wrist in unnatural positions to make it look extra tall.
I don’t like thick watches and was really surprised at how well it wears.
On my 7 inch wrist
