Platona. It's refined, rare, and aesthetically pleasing. The Meteorite GMT is hard to read, but then again, it's also a very cool piece and more about the dial and not the function of time telling. So I guess... you can't go wrong with either.

There's no wrong answer here but I would chose the Daytona.

I don't know why everyone says the meteorite GMT is difficult to read. It's perfectly legible in person. I find the Daytona dial much more cluttered and difficult to read.

My vote is the GMT.

While I think the WG Meteorite GMT is awesome and want it in my collection, to me, the Platinum Daytona is the top of the watch chain!

I have the 126719 BLRO; it is indeed my favorite watch in my collection, just an incredible looking piece. That said, I can't rest until I secure a Platona as well. I doubt this helps much, but it is my position.

Wow, this is the best photo I’ve seen of the diamond version. Bravo

And to the OPs inquiry, I have the meteorite GMT—and it is my favorite. It gets the most wrist time out of my decent collection.

Platona all day much more special than a WG GMT with a special dial.

The Daytona is a lovely watch and I’m a fan of PM so the weight of it is a massive plus for me as I also wear it fully linked with +1.

I just feel like the GMT is more wearable, co ordinates more with clothes and is more my style so to speak. I prefer to have a date and I also love meteorite dials.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s no wrong choice here. It’s more a personal preference of GMT>Daytona In general.

I would choose a 116710ln over a ceramic Daytona.

That’s a bummer. I recall that those platinum links aren’t cheap! I know it was important to get all the links when buying the watch.

Tough one. I own GMT meteorite and ABSOLUTELY love wearing it, but if I would have to pick either one I would go with Platona

Platona is a great but I wish the bezel were either black or dark navy blue. I just can’t stay in love with the brown. Plus the watch is heavy, really heavy.

Between the two, I pick the meteorite GMT.

I think the perfect trio is GMT meteorite, 116508 YG/green dial, and platinum DD. I might be biased tho, since this was my choice…

Love the platinum Daytona, and I’ve indicated for one, but for me the mentioned trip above is perfect.

BLRO Meteorite hands down. In person the dial has so much character. Photos, as stunning as they are, simply do not capture the magnificence of this piece.

The Daytona is a beautiful; however for me personally, I would prefer that reference with an alternate color bezel. Should they ever change it to something I enjoy, I'll purchase one also.

That's a tough choice. I would go with the platona given it's the baguette version. I agree with the other poster, get the platona this year and the GMT next year.
